Ocean Decade Virtual Series: Co-designing the science we need for the Ocean Decade - Part 2

Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO

UN Agency

Paris/FRA

This virtual session “Co-designing the science we need for the Ocean Decade” is convened by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO in partnership with the International Science Council, as part of the Ocean Decade Virtual Series.

This closing webinar, we will recap the main issues and questions that arose during the series of regional webinars so far, revisit key aspects that need to be better anchored and explore innovative methodologies for engagement and integration of different knowledge systems.

The session will be organised in three parts:
- Part 1: Needs and initial recommendations to support innovative co-designed, solution oriented research for the Ocean Decade;
- Part 2: How can we recognize complementarities across knowledge systems and support effective interactions?
- Part 3: How can we support capacity and resource mobilisation for co-designed Decade actions?
