Ocean CAMP is an initiative that supports ocean science and capacity building aiming for practical solutions for a Healthy and Resilient Ocean, in a multidisciplinary and collaborative way. The initiative was totally designed within the context and framework of the Ocean Decade and the based on the brazilian workshops, a collaborative process held to build up the national plan for the Ocean Decade.
Always with science as a base, the inniciative will address 3 main challenges, related to 1. Sustainable Tourism 2. Marine pollution and environmental incidents and 3. Effects of the climate crisis on coastal cities.
Ocean CAMP is divided into three main phases: in the first, the proponents submit a solution to one of the challenges,with the best solutions being selected for the next phase. The second phase is a three-day event, going through lectures, workshops and forming cooperation networks, aiming to develop the proposed solution. Finally, after a new selection, the best proposals undergo mentoring and improvement to apply for financial support of Boticario Group Foundation and partner.
